The injury occurre towards the end of last year. And Saka decide to undergo surgery on Christmas Eve morning and is set to be out until April. Before returning towards the end of the season.
“The first two days were very difficult. It was the realisation that I really needed to have an operation,” Saka said during an interview with the England squad.
“At that time, I started to doubt myself if I would be able to come back like before. Some players who have the same injury can’t come back like before. But after the surgery and everything went well, I was looking forward to the future.”
The 23-year-old insists he is taking his recovery seriously, including nutrition, training in the gym and training on the pitch, with the big game coming up very motivated.
“I know I’m coming back to the top level, so I want to be in the best shape. It depends on how much we want it, and I really want it.”
